Marketing Class Assignment

 I started this blog over ten years ago as a way to sell my cheesecakes to family and friends.  It was my side hustle at the time and obviously did not last very long.  I feel grateful that I had that creative outlet back then and was able to share something that I loved.  My cheesecake recipe is still the best cheesecake I have ever had and I still love to make them, especially when I can share them with my family and friends.

Looking back at how much has changed over the years I can see why my side gig did not take off and I am honestly okay about that.  I truly did not have time to keep up with it, along with my other responsibilities and busy family life.  Now that I have taken a few Social Media Marketing classes I can see where I needed a little help with my fledgling blog.  I was a novice for sure and could have used a little insider knowledge, especially in the photography department.  But for a novice who had no idea what she was doing, I still give myself an A+ for even attempting to tackle a blog/business during that time of my life. 

So kudos to all those amazing people who manage to create content for their blogs, promote it through social media, and keep their followers coming back for more.  It is not an easy task but is something that millions of people look to for education, entertainment, and more.
