Marketing Class Assignment

I started this blog over ten years ago as a way to sell my cheesecakes to family and friends.  It was my side hustle at the time and obviously did not last very long.  I feel grateful that I had that creative outlet back then and was able to share something that I loved.  My cheesecake recipe is still the best cheesecake I have ever had and I still love to make them, especially when I can share them with my family and friends. Looking back at how much has changed over the years I can see why my side gig did not take off and I am honestly okay about that.  I truly did not have time to keep up with it, along with my other responsibilities and busy family life.  Now that I have taken a few Social Media Marketing classes I can see where I needed a little help with my fledgling blog.  I was a novice for sure and could have used a little insider knowledge, especially in the photography department.  But for a novice who had no idea what she was doing, I...

Chocolate Raspberry Swirl

Image
A friend of mine wanted to order a cheesecake for her husbands birthday last month so I told her to check out my blog and let me know what she wanted.  She called me a couple of days later and said her husband liked chocolate and raspberries.  I make a great White Chocolate Raspberry cheesecake but I had never used milk chocolate.  Unfortunately I did not get to taste this cheesecake but it looked fabulous and my friend said it was one of the best cheesecakes her husband had tried. This cheesecake has a chocolate shortbread crust, chocolate cheesecake filling with a layer of raspberry in the middle and raspberry swirls on top.  Can’t wait to make this cheesecake again so I can try it too.

Sweet Appreciation

Here’s a thank you to those who ordered cheesecakes for Valentines Day!  I enjoyed creating each one and hope you enjoyed every bite!  They all looked so delicious!  Sometimes it’s hard sending them out the door knowing I won’t get a bite because I know how wonderful they will taste!  Fortunately, I found time yesterday to make my own to enjoy for a late Valentines Day!  It’s an “Any-Day” size White Chocolate Raspberry cheesecake which is one of my favorites and by far the most popular on my blog.  I am also excited about some new ideas for other yummy cheesecake desserts I am working on!  I’ll be sure to post pictures soon!

A Work In Progress

I apologize for the problems viewing my blog! In the process of finding the problems occurring I discovered my background is gone! I’m now searching for something to take it’s place! This will have to do for now!

Back to Business

It’s been almost a year since I last updated my blog and what a busy year it has been!  The birth of our fourth child, Katie, has brought the most change and has kept me the busiest!  But despite the busy schedules around here I have not lost my obsession with baking!  The past year wouldn’t be complete without the addition of a few new flavors to my cheesecake collection. Last spring I wanted a cheesecake to welcome in summer time!  One thing I love to enjoy on a warm summer day is a cold glass of raspberry lemonade.  At first I wasn’t sure that a raspberry lemonade cheesecake would turn out quite right.  The first one I made was a little on the tart side but with a little tweak to the ingredients the second attempt turned out incredible!  I have to say that this is now one of my favorite cheesecakes! The second cheesecake flavor was a simple addition!  My chocolate chip cheesecake is made with a chocolate shortbread crust, chocolate chips in...
